St. Astor and Happy Memorial Day!
I can’t believe it’s only 36 hours for my children to fly to Miami. My U-Haul truck is almost fully loaded and things are going faster than planned. In less than two days I’ll be heading to the East Coast!

Bitter for Better, by Xavier Herit
I first learned about this aperitif reading an article in The Palm Beach Post. It was an interview with French restaurateur Daniel Boulud. When asked about his favorite cocktail, chef Boulud answered “Bitter for Better”, without hesitation, and listed the ingredients.
